Sailing Ships at Sea was originally designed for Gilbert and Sullivan's musical's Pirates of Penzance and HMS Pinafore. More recently it has also been used for Peter Pan. This beautiful drop has also worked in the Hannibal scene in Phantom of the Opera. Sailing Ships at Sea features three sailboats with a fourth one off in the distance. It has a gorgeous blue sky accented with white puffy clouds and a dark blue, rolling sea. Sailing Ships at Sea is hand-painted on muslin and measures 17 feet high by 42 feet wide. It has grommets across the top with tie lines and a pocket on the bottom back so you can weight the drop with a pole or chain if you choose.
