Our backdrops are rented in weekly intervals, Monday to Monday.

Folding a backdrop is very simple. We ask that you lay the drop out paint side up, then starting at the bottom of the drop, fold it in half, bringing the bottom of the drop to the top. Do this two more times. Then, working from each side, fold the sides into the center, which is marked by a “C” hashmark. This will be done 3 times then, fold one side over on top of the other. This makes a nice, tight rectangle that will fit easily back into the bag the drop shipped in. Click here to watch a fun video of the folding procedure.

We accept checks, Visa, Mastercard and Discover.

Our contracts are Monday to Monday. If the drop is in house and available, we do try to ship early, but we do not guarantee any other arrival date other than the Monday date specified on your contract.

We ship via FedEx. FedEx has the best tracking system in the business! This allows us to track the backdrops to and from your location. It is of  the utmost importance to us to have your backdrops arrive on time.

All of our drops come with grommets and tie lines, spaced approximately 12-14 inches apart. We ask that you only hang the drop using the grommets and tie lines provided. Please do not pin, staple, tack or tape the drops at anytime.

Our Nutcracker backdrops are in such demand that our standard shipping procedures would greatly inhibit our ability to provide all the backdrops needed for this season. Every customer is charged overnight roundtrip shipping to ensure prompt delivery no later than Wednesday of the performance week, with return scheduled for the following Monday. We are continuing to augment our Nutcracker inventory with the goal to eventually eliminate the need for overnight shipping.

Our show package backdrops are designed to give the director/producer a coordinated set of backdrops. Obviously for some shows, certain scenes are more important or popular than others. To ensure the entire package of backdrops is available for groups wanting to rent the entire set, we do not rent the backdrops individually. However we do have a few packages that we allow to be rented individually and this is noted in the details of that package. Also, we are working hard to replicate the most popular drops in our packages so we can offer them individually. If you wish to rent individual backdrops, please check our “Show Suggestions” page. Terms and Conditions


Refusal to agree to the terms and conditions of Kenmark, Inc. as they are laid out in the contract will result in immediate cancellation of your order.

Not signing the Contract does not cancel the order.  You have entered into an agreement with us when the order was placed.  A signed contract is required so that we know you understand the terms of the rental contract.

Cancellations: If order is cancelled within 30 days of shipping, lessee will be charged 50% of the total contract rental amount.  ORDER MUST BE CANCELLED IN WRITING, NO EXCEPTIONS.

Return:  Lessee is responsible for returning backdrops by due date stated on the rental contract.  Lessee will be charged a late fee per backdrop per day if not returned by date as stated on the rental contract.

Damage/Loss: The Lessee assumes complete responsibility for backdrops rented and agrees to fully reimburse Kenmark, Inc. for loss or damages incurred during the term of rental.  Kenmark, Inc. retains full capacity to determine physical damages and assess proper amount for reimbursement.  Lessee is not permitted: to staple, tack, pin, glue or hang drops in any manner other than with the provided tie lines.  Failure to comply with the proper hanging methods will result in a fee for damages.

Changes in Contract: Written confirmation from Kenmark, Inc. will be required to approve or confirm changes in items or dates for rental.  Changes to the rental contract are contingent upon availability.  A service fee will be charged for any changes to the contract.

 

Rental Policies


In order to secure backdrop rental, we recommend you order as soon as possible. We will then process an invoice and contract. Kenmark, Inc. requires a signed contract, and your final payment in full two weeks prior to the date of backdrop shipment. Kenmark, Inc. also retains the right to require a refundable security deposit for any rental.

When ordering a Show Package, all of the above requirements are applicable. Further, Show Packages are only rented as a package; the backdrops are not rented individually unless notated on the package detail page. Please contact us for specific details for each Show Package.

 

Shipping and Rental Periods


All backdrops are rented on a weekly basis. A weekly rental is from Monday to Monday; Lessee will receive backdrop(s) on Monday and will return backdrop(s) the following Monday. Kenmark, Inc. does not guarantee the arrival of the backdrops for any other day. If an earlier arrival date is needed, the only way to guarantee the earlier date is to rent the backdrop(s) for the additional week.

 

Nutcracker and Holiday Backdrop Rentals


Nutcracker and Holiday backdrop rentals have different shipping schedules due to high demand and rapid turnover. All of our holiday backdrops ship overnight on Tuesday to arrive Wednesday morning. They are returned on Monday by overnight shipping to arrive back at Kenmark on Tuesday. Payments for all Nutcracker and Holiday orders placed prior to May 15th will be due in full by September 1st. All orders placed between May 15th and September 15th are due October 1st. All orders placed after September 15th, are due within two weeks after placing the order along with the signed contract and security deposit. If you order within two weeks of your ship date, payment and deposit are due immediately. Payment by check is not  accepted within two weeks of shipping.
